- Switch off the power button, press and hold STOP/RESET then push ON/OFF button
- While the power button on hold, press STOP/RESET button twice
- Release both of button, then run the printer in SERVICE MODE
- The printer will be charging
- After printer finish charging, push STOP/RESET button four times. (Waste ink counter reset)
- Every time you push STOP/RESET button, the LED indicator will change green and orange.
- Switch off the printer and take out POWER button
- Finally switch on the printer again.

If your printer shows the message like this, “Error ink cartridges are not installed properly (error E5)”. I’d like to share the methods.

- Switch the Power On
- Press and hold the power button
- Push Reset button once, then release the power button and push reset twice till 0
- Push + display change from 0 to 1 (push button + to change 0 to 1)
- Push the power switch on again, then Printer will be print 1 page
- (push power button –> start button till 1 page.)
- Open cover
- Unplug power cable
- Take out ink PG 40 and PG 41
- Plug in the power cable
- Switch on the power button
- Open cover (scan cover)
- Replace Ink PG 40, PG 41 again

Reset Canon Pixma MP460 Manually
Here some methods how to Reset Ink Level Canon Pixma MP460 Manually
- Disconnect the power cable
- Hold down power button
- Reconnect the power cable
- While the power button still on hold, press twice the “Cancel/Stop” red button
- Release the power button
- The printer is now in factory mode…(wait about 30 seconds until it confirms “idle”)
- Press the down arrow (next to the “OK” button) until it says “Shipping Mode 1”
- Press the “OK” Button
- Now with it displaying “Without Cleaning” press the power button
- A test page should print
- Now open cover
- Disconnect the power again
- Take both cartridges out normally
- Close cover
- Reconnect power cable
- Press power button
- Replace cartridges
